The story of how Richard II exiled his enemies including the Earl of Arundel and, eventually, Henry Bolingbroke, the Duke of Hereford and Thomas de Mowbray, the Duke of Norfolk. Henry Bolingbroke was the son of John of Gaunt, brother of Edward III, and a likely candidate to succeed the childless Richard after the death of his father. The script is mainly secretary.
