|
Deeds of the Apostles: chapters twenty-two and twenty-three. A pen-flourished initial 'P' in blue and red ink introduces the next chapter. Paul tells a centurion that he is a citizen of Rome and the Roman tribune is sent for. Paul appears before a Jewish council and they cannot agree on what should be done with him. Jesus appears to Paul and tells him that he has witnessed him in Jerusalem and he will bear witness to him in Rome. Some of the Jews tell the Jewish elders that they will not eat or drink until Paul is dead. The written space is c. 207 x 133 mm in two columns.
