Description:

Pricke of Conscience: part eight. The English verse ends here 'þt for ours fouched saff to henge' and is followed by a note in Latin which begins 'Hoc nomen consciencia componitur ab hoc preposicione..'. The Latin note is introduced with a pen-flourished initial 'H' in blue and red ink. The written space is 277 x 200 mm, with two columns in more or less current anglicana.
