Description: 
Seven medical recipes. Line 1 is mostly torn or eaten away, and a repair has been made between lines 9-13. The right margin of the whole folio is torn away, so many lines end short. Line 2 prob 'trickle' not a 'b' as Lester says. $ = doodles of flowers etc after text on line 3. Line 15 – doodle or initials. Lines 15 and 23, 'probatum est'. The written space is c. 163 x 115 mm and the script is anglicana.

1. undyr þe tounge and when 2. or þe sede þer of and tryakull and dryn[*] 3. shall be holle [$] 4. ffor þe brynnyng 5. ffor man or wo[o]man and chylde þ(t) hutl huyth any sore 6. lette hy(~)m take aquantyte of oyle oll[u]f and as moche of [*] 7. and pute hem to gedyr in to a wessell and lete þem te [*] 8. þey congyle Jn on and waxe vty[nm]ent [*][*]en a[n] 9. w(t) [&] all i(~) it shall make þe sore he[l]e 10. Ad(r)ynke ffor þe hede [*rke] 11. Thake betenye v(er)[m]tyne and wall[*] [*]rte and [*]er cor 12. and [benys] sethe (^þem) jn watt(er) and drynke it ffastynge 13. ffor þe stone 14.
