The story of the murder of Prince Alurede (Alfred Aetheling) and the subsequent reign of Saint Edward the Confessor. Red rubrication introduces each tale. There is some almost illegible graffiti at the top of the page which seems to be repeated more fully on folio 39v, however the words 'Richardo Colepeper de Grays Inn... Armigero viginti minus anglice legalis monete Anno domini 1568' are legible. Written space is 235 x 190 mm, 2 columns with 34 lines. The script is in a secretary hand with some influence from anglicana.
