Description:
Brut Chronicle beginning imperfectly at 'and our' soveraiegne'. The text begins at the history of Brutus of Troy. Brut marries Gennogen, the daughter of King Pandras and leaves Greece with one hundred ships. Brut and his men find a temple to Diana and pray to her for guidance to find a safe haven to settle in. Brut is directed by Diana to go to the Isle of Albion. Red rubrication introduces the next tale. Written space is 235 x 190 mm, 2 columns with 34 lines. The script is in a secretary hand with some influence from anglicana.
